Virginian American White Oak Bookcase

This bookcase is made with White Oak and features a lightweight design with proportions to show off the attractive grain of the wood as much as possible.

Each side panel features continuous grain; each one comes from the same board, split between the three levels of the bookcase.

Every piece of wood tells a story, having been around on earth for usually much longer than a human lifespan. Particularly for Oak each piece is most likely over a century old which is why I think it is so important to show off the wood itself as much as possible in my furniture.
